When a Haitian immigrant living in New York City wanted to start
a business making her own brand of soaps and lotions, she turned
to David Sherman for help. David, an Intellectual Property attorney
in Katten’s New York office, was first introduced to this determined
entrepreneur through the Microenterprise Project, part of the
Volunteers of Legal Service (VOLS) organization through which David
and other Katten attorneys provide pro bono services to low-income
entrepreneurs and small businesses throughout New York City.
