Supporting Victims
of Domestic Violence
Katten attorneys across the country volunteer their time to
provide counsel, support and often friendship to victims of
domestic violence as they navigate the process of obtaining
protective orders and other related legal matters. According to
the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, approximately
20 people per minute are victims of physical violence by an
intimate partner in the United States. And while some incidents
are high profile and play out in the media spotlight, the reality is
that domestic violence affects people from all walks of life.
