Katten Represents Hyde Park Acquisition Corp. II in Its Agreement to Merge with Santa Maria Energy Holdings LLC

Katten represented Hyde Park (NASDAQ: HPAC), a special purpose acquisition corporation (SPAC), in its agreement to merge with Santa Maria Energy Holdings LLC, an independent energy company focused on the exploration and development of oil and natural gas assets located in the Santa Maria Basin in Northern Santa Barbara County, California. Completion of the merger is subject to Hyde Park shareholder approval with the transaction expected to close in early 2014. The Hyde Park transaction represents the fourth successful SPAC business combination transaction representation for Katten.
