Katten Muchin Rosenman LLP is sponsoring the Illinois Technology Association's Security Symposium, a day-long event focusing on cyber security issues.

Partner Jeffrey Patt will moderate a panel on "Industry Trends in Cyber Security" at 9:15 a.m. on Tuesday, May 13. Panelists will address the latest trends affecting cyber security solutions and how they impact the focus of software developers and marketplace demands while shifting CIO/CTO budgets and IT dollars.

Len Ferber, co-head of the Technology practice, will participate on the "Securing Big Data" panel at 10:45 a.m. Panelists will explore many facets of Big Data, such as who owns such information? How should it be protected? What are the privacy implications? Who should be allowed to see the data? What are the implications for international businesses?
