Walmart Withdraws Black Friday GDC Appeal

Walmart recently dropped its longstanding challenge of a general duty clause citation arising from the 2008 trampling death of an employee during a Black Friday sale. Walmart had been seeking reconsideration by the Occupational Safety and Health Review Commission ("OSHRC") of an April 2011 decision by an administrative law judge that had sided with OSHA and affirmed the citation.
