Partner Thomas J. Leanse will speak in the session “Liability Issues for Landlords, Tenants and Property Managers” on Wednesday, March 7, from 2:00 – 5:00 p.m. This session will cover legal concepts relating to operational issues for which all landlords, tenants and property managers should be concerned with, such as liability and compliance obligations for various homeland security requirements and other security issues, permitted and unpermitted public access and illegal discrimination, including current status of disabled persons accessibility and accommodation matters. A sound risk management program consists of identifying and minimizing risks and how to document your operations in order to defend claims once they occur. Time permitting, other issues raised by the attendees will be discussed.
