Trump's OSHA Nominee Withdraws from Consideration

Advisory | May 17, 2019

Scott Mugno, the former Fedex official nominated by President Trump to run the Occupational Safety and Health Administration ("OSHA"), has decided he no longer wishes to join the administration. Public reports indicate that Mugno communicated his withdrawal to both the White House and Labor Secretary Alexander Acosta on May 14, 2019. Mugno was initially nominated to be Assistant Secretary of Labor for OSHA in October 2017, and has been awaiting confirmation by the Senate since that time.
