Solar Focus 2016: Cracking the Code

Claudia Callaway and Christina Grigorian, Special Counsel in the Financial Services group, will co-present the "Consumer Finance Crossroads" session at the Solar Focus 2016 conference on Thursday, November 17 at 10:45 a.m. The presentation will focus on the role that the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and state regulators play in the clean energy market. Topics will include:

  • state licensing for lead generators, installers and finance companies—from brokering, to lending, to purchasing loans;
  • the "ABCs" of installation finance contracts—Equal Credit Opportunity Act and Regulation B, Electronic Funds Transfer Act and Regulation E, Truth in Lending Act and Regulation Z;
  • the Dodd-Franks Act's unfair, deceptive and abusive standards; and
  • compliance management systems—policies, procedures and the culture of compliance.
