Rachel A. Adams

Rachel A. Adams focuses her practice in health care matters. She has experience handling matters involving the Stark Law, Anti-Kickback Statute, Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA), Medicare/Medicaid regulations and reimbursement, health care licensing, and health care transactions. Her background includes serving as a seconded attorney to a retail pharmacy's national headquarters, where she assisted with pharmacy contracting, enrollment, licensing and compliance matters.

Rachel also represents health care providers in investigations and litigation under the False Claims Act, and in Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement audits, involving, for example, claims of duplicate billing, billing for medically unnecessary services, up-coding, lack of proper documentation and quality of care issues.

While obtaining her LLM, Rachel served as an attorney intern for the US Department of Justice, Antitrust Division.
