Prosecuting Pre-AIA Patent Applications and Responding to Post-Grant Petitions

Partner John Paniaguas will present “Post AIA Strategies for Prosecuting Pre AIA Applications” at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 27. John will provide practical tips and strategies for patent prosecutors and others to file and prosecute patent applications with pre-AIA (Leahy-Smith America Invents Act) priority, for applications containing any claims having later priority. He will also discuss when to maintain pre-AIA priority or switch to post-AIA priority, and how to file and prosecute such applications to be sure the choice is executed properly.
