Partner Neil Robson Quoted in HFM Week on Non-EU Fund Managers Deregistering from Certain EU Regulators for Marketing Under the AIFM Directive

Firm News | January 15, 2015

Financial Services partner Neil Robson was quoted in an HFM Week article about the deregistration of hedge fund managers from private placement regimes in Europe due to a failure to raise adequate investors. Commenting on the trend, Neil said, "I have heard some non-EU Alternative Investment Fund Managers are deregistering because they haven’t had any investment into their fund from those countries, so if they deregister now they should be able to get out of the Annex IV filing requirement." ("Lack of EU Investment Prompts Deregistrations," January 15, 2015)
