Partner Michael Callahan Quoted in American Medical News on Managing Medical Staff Conflicts

Firm News | June 4, 2013
Michael Callahan, a partner in the Health Care practice, stressed the importance of confronting conflicts sooner rather than later in an American Medical News article that examines how bridging communication gaps between medical staffs and hospitals can prevent unnecessary lawsuits relating to bylaws, peer review and other issues. “Whenever issues are identified, be proactive about the problem,” said Mr. Callahan. “Oftentimes [the parties involved are] looking the other way until it’s too late. Get on top of a problem right away with an eye toward identifying the issue and address the issue rather than let the problem fester.” (“Calming a Hospital Culture Clash,” April 29, 2013)
