Partner Julie Gottshall Quoted in Crain's Chicago Business Article on Laws Involved in Interviewing Job Candidates

Julie Gottshall, Chicago head of the Employment Law and Litigation practice, was quoted in an article addressing several potentially volatile topics for employers in the job interview process. Among the subjects covered was an employer’s access to a prospective employee’s Facebook and Twitter pages. Julie commented that although an employer may legally view whatever is public on the job candidate’s social media page, “it might not be acceptable to use [that information].” (“Avoid the Latest Legal Landmines,” March 10, 2014)
