Partner Craig Barbarosh Comments on Potential Detroit Art Auction in Detroit Free Press

Firm News | August 7, 2013

Craig Barbarosh, a partner in the Insolvency and Restructuring practice, was quoted in a Detroit Free Press article on the potential for collections from the Detroit Institute of Arts being sold to pay down the city’s debt. Commenting on the retention of Christie’s auction house to appraise a portion of the multibillion dollar collection, Craig said: “At the end of the day, the city has to evaluate all of its alternatives, economic and otherwise, and it has to present a plan that’s confirmable, feasible and fair. I don’t think you can read any more into that at this point.” (“Orr's Office Hires Auction House Christie's to Take 2nd Look at DIA's Art,” August 5, 2013)
