Mark Farley Offers Insight on Chemical Safety Board in the Trump Administration

Firm News | February 6, 2017

Mark Farley, co-head of the Environmental and Workplace Safety practice, was quoted in Bloomberg BNA's Occupational Safety & Health Reporter on the rules that preclude changes to the US Chemical Safety Board (CSB) membership, despite the new administration. It is noted that a member can only be removed for cause. Mark stated, "[President Trump] can nominate a new member to the open seat, but I do not believe he can force [CSB Chairwoman Vanessa Allen] Sutherland out of her role before her term ends."
