Mark Farley, Co-head of the Environmental Practice and Head of the Workplace Safety Practice, Comments on Texas Expansion Strategy in Law360

Firm News | June 18, 2014

Mark Farley, co-head of the Environmental practice and head of the Workplace Safety practice, spoke with Law360 regarding the trend in Texas of hiring lateral talent from local law firms. Due to the state's booming energy market, many firms are currently growing in the areas of energy mergers and acquisitions, nonenergy mergers and acquisitions, and high-stakes litigation. Mark, who manages Katten's offices in Houston, Austin and the metropolitan Dallas area, outlined an energy-centric expansion plan: "Katten's strategy in Texas has been to build on our strong ties with energy companies as we recruit experienced partners with high-stakes practices serving that industry."
