Lindsey L. Smith

Charlotte Office

Lindsey Smith focuses her practice in commercial litigation matters. Prior to joining Katten, Lindsey practiced insurance defense with a regional defense firm. She began her legal career as a law clerk at the North Carolina Court of Appeals, clerking for both the Honorable Linda McGee and the Honorable Linda Stephens.

While attending law school, Lindsey served as the technical editor for the Kentucky Law Journal.

Lindsey maintains an active pro bono practice. She volunteers her time with the Council for Children’s Rights, which provides legal services and advocacy for individual children in the areas of child welfare, delinquency, mental health and special education. She also works with Safe Alliance, an organization that provides pro bono legal services for victims of domestic violence seeking protective orders.
