Katten Ranked by Chambers Global 2017

Six Lawyers Score Individual Rankings; Derivatives, Securitization Practices Acknowledged

(CHICAGO) Katten Muchin Rosenman LLP announced today that attorneys Henry Bregstein, Guy Dempsey, Chris DiAngelo, Carolyn H. Jackson, Joshua S. Rubenstein and Herbert S. Wander were recognized in the 2017 edition of Chambers Global. Additionally, Katten's Futures and Derivatives and Structured Finance and Securitization groups were accredited as leading legal practices in the US.

Bregstein, global co-chair of Katten's Financial Services group, was recognized in the "USA, Investments Funds: Hedge Funds" category. Chambers Global notes he counsels a "wide range of investment funds, including hedge funds, private equity vehicles and commodity pools" and his "expertise spans regulatory, securities and corporate matters."

Dempsey, of counsel for the firm's Futures and Derivatives practice, was acknowledged in the "USA, Capital Markets: Derivatives" category. Chambers Global credits him for his "extensive experience in the derivatives field," as well as his "skill in handling cross-border regulatory work."

Managing partner of Katten's New York office, DiAngelo, was ranked in the "USA, Capital Markets: Securitisation" category. As noted in the ranking, DiAngelo's clients credit him for blending "broad experience of structured transactions and other capital markets deals" with a "deep knowledge of commercial law and bankruptcy."

Jackson, who is based at Katten Muchin Rosenman UK LLP in London, was lauded in the "USA – Banking and Finance" category as a "Foreign Expert Based in the UK." Chambers Global notes that Jackson "offers in-depth expertise in US financial regulatory concerns and frequently advises global financial institutions such as broker-dealers and investment banks."

National head of Katten's Trusts and Estates practice, Rubenstein was lauded in the "Global-wide, International Private Client" category and was commended for his "expertise on international tax." Chambers Global observes that "fellow private client professionals see him as 'an absolute legend in the industry - a serious operator and a very hard worker.'"

Co-Chair of Katten's Corporate Governance practice, Wander was honored as a "Senior Statesman" in the "USA, Corporate/M&A" category. Chambers Global describes Wander as a "highly respected practitioner thanks to his expertise in the most key areas of business law, with particular focus on corporate governance and securities-related issues."
