Mandell also received the highest national distinction for his work in Enforcement and Litigation.

WTR 1000 called Katten's Chicago's practice a "litigation powerhouse" and "premier branding gang" that offers a "depth of industry-specific know-how and impeccable customer service." The guide applauded Mandell, national co-chair of Katten's IP department and co-head of the Trademarks and Trademark Litigation practice, as "a veritable dean of the trademark bar." He was also touted as an "exceptional litigator" who "sees the big picture" when undertaking "complex and difficult cases." Similarly, Achterhof, who serves as both co-chair of Katten's national IP Litigation practice and co-head of the Advertising, Marketing and Promotions practice, was also praised for her ability to "assuage the fears of big brand names" as well as for her "stellar courtroom performances."

Of the New York practice, WTR 1000 recognized Ash, national co-chair of the firm's IP department and co-head of the Trademarks and Trademark Litigation practice, as "a fantastic lawyer with an abundance of expertise in all facets of trademark law and licensing, especially in the fashion sector." Ash was commended for her "sharp and creative mind" and ability to quickly "grasp complex topics and then provide her recommendation without missing a beat." She was also touted for understanding "what in-house lawyers are looking for." Tamulewicz, called "a genius when it comes to European matters," was similarly featured for his "excellent knowledge of trademark law concerning international protection."

WTR 1000 described Katten's DC practice as central to the firm's brand management, and highlighted Katten Chairman Furey as an "established name in the field" with more than 25 years of experience protecting and enforcing IP rights. The publication also noted the addition of Terence P. Ross, co-chair the firm's IP Litigation practice, as a critical member of the DC team.
