Katten Partner Designated Privacy Law Specialist

(NEW YORK) Katten Muchin Rosenman LLP announced today that partner Doron S. Goldstein, co-head of the firm's Privacy, Data and Cybersecurity practice, is among the inaugural class of lawyers to receive the Privacy Law Specialist designation by the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP). The IAPP is not affiliated with any governmental authority.

Goldstein is one of 27 attorneys recognized as a Privacy Law Specialist, a designation certified by the IAPP, which is accredited by the American Bar Association.

"Doron meets the rigorous experience and knowledge requirements to be distinguished as a leader in the rapidly growing Privacy Law industry," said Katten Chairman Roger P. Furey. "Privacy and data security are big issues for companies, and Doron is at the forefront, advising our clients on new regulations, compliance policies and emerging trends that can impact their businesses."

Goldstein is a member of Katten's Intellectual Property practice as well as deputy general counsel to the firm. He counsels clients on privacy practices, information security, and data breach planning and response. Goldstein is recognized as an IAPP Fellow of Information Privacy, Certified Information Privacy Professional (US and EU) and Certified Information Privacy Manager. Additionally, he has been named a "Cybersecurity and Data Privacy Trailblazer" by the National Law Journal.
