Katten CEO Noah Heller Comments on Generational Challenges for Law Firms in The American Lawyer

Firm News | February 29, 2016

Katten CEO Noah Heller was quoted in an article in The American Lawyer on the generational shifts taking place at law firms as the number of Millennial attorneys have grown. The article notes that some firms are experiencing succession challenges, as Baby Boomer attorneys are waiting longer to retire. Noah indicated that it is not uncommon that the interests of partners and their firms diverge as lawyers approach traditional retirement ages. He stated, "If you don't manage that issue, all the young partners with the most potential are going to get frustrated and leave if they don’t feel that the management of the firm is giving them opportunity."
