(NEW YORK) Katten Muchin Rosenman LLP announced that leading finance attorney Paul F. Kruger has joined the firm's Structured Finance and Securitization practice in New York. Kruger has represented some of the world's leading financial institutions, private equity investors, sovereign wealth funds and corporations on transactions across the United States, Asia, Europe and the Middle East.

"Our clients look to our Structured Finance and Securitization practice for groundbreaking solutions to novel business challenges," said Katten Chairman Roger Furey. "Paul's superior transactional skills coupled with his vast international and US experience will offer the kind of wide-ranging innovative thinking our clients have come to expect from Katten."

Kruger, who has more than 25 years of experience, was at the forefront of the development of the securitization market in Asia in the 1990s, and has led more than 100 transactions since then in Asia, the United States, Europe and elsewhere. His experience encompasses multiple asset classes including commercial real estate, residential mortgages, credit cards, auto loans, railcars, trade finance assets and trade receivables, infrastructure assets and non-performing and performing loans, on both a cash and synthetic basis. He also represents private equity investors in the acquisition and financing of corporate entities and assets and has extensive experience in the structuring of supply chain platforms and the execution of supply chain financings.

"Paul brings to Katten considerable depth and experience across multiple asset-classes and transaction types," said Anna-Liza Harris, co-head of Katten's Structured Finance and Securitization practice and a member of the firm's Board of Directors. "He is a trailblazer in securitization and structured trade finance whose experience adds an important global dimension to our team."

Prior to joining Katten, Paul was based in New York, Abu Dhabi, Hong Kong and Tokyo. He is admitted in New York and England and Wales.
