Joshua Rubenstein Named Divorce, Trusts & Estates Trailblazer by The National Law Journal

Firm News | March 2016

Joshua Rubenstein, national head of the firm's Trusts and Estates practice and national chair of the Private Client Services group, has been named a Divorce, Trusts & Estates Trailblazer by The National Law Journal. The profile notes that despite his best efforts to follow a different career path, he is a fourth-generation trusts and estates lawyer. Regarding New York's high independent estate taxes, he stated, "I've generally been involved in a lot of legislative changes that make it easier to do good planning for people to manage their estate better." He also noted that market conditions, such as the aging population and declines in public formation have led to new opportunities. Joshua stated, "It's an amazing time to be a trusts and estates lawyer. It's not cyclical. It doesn't have anything to do with the economy; it has to do with mortality."
