Two Katten attorneys will participate in the IBA Virtually Together Conference, taking place from Monday, November 2–Friday, November 27.
Joshua Rubenstein, national chair of the firm's Private Wealth practice, will present "Where is the safest place for your asset protection trust upon your divorce?" at 10:00 a.m. (GMT) on Thursday, November 12. The Private Client Tax Committee session will review recent case law which examines whether the United States is a safe jurisdiction for asset protection trusts, and will also review other jurisdictions of interest in this regard.
On Friday, November 13, Financial Markets and Funds partner Amanda Segal will participate in "The impact of Covid-19 on the restructuring of private debt" at 10:00 a.m. (GMT). The panel will focus on the impact of the COVID pandemic on the treatment of distressed private corporate debt from a creditor's perspective.
