Heads I Win, Tails You Lose: Advising the Global Super Rich in Times of Protracted and Unprecedented Political, Economic, Cultural and Scientific Change

Presented by the NY Tax Study Group
Speaking Engagement | June 30, 2014

Josh Rubenstein, national head of the Trusts and Estates practice, will present "Heads I Win, Tails You Lose: Advising the Global Super Rich in Times of Protracted and Unprecedented Political, Economic, Cultural and Scientific Change" at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, June 30 as part of the NY Tax Study Group meeting. Josh will share his observations on how difficult it has become to do estate planning and wealth preservation for clients when the rules change constantly. He will address tax changes here and abroad (as they impact one another); enforcement changes leading to FATCA; and changes in access to information, in the nature of families and in the frequency of intrafamily litigation. Josh will also review what changes are likely in transition in addition to which changes will return to "normal" and which are here to stay, and provide suggestions on how best to advise in the meantime.
