Gil Soffer Comments on Former Congressman's Legal Future

Gil Soffer, managing partner of Katten's Chicago office and national co-head of the White Collar, Investigations and Compliance practice, commented in an ABC7 Chicago TV news segment on the case involving former Congressman Aaron Schock. In regards to federal prosecutors agreeing to defer prosecution on the 22 felony charges in favor of a misdemeanor case, Gil stated, "At the end of all of this he'll have a clean record. He'll have no felony record. He'll have no misdemeanor record. He'll have no criminal record at all. There will be no hindrance for him to pursue a political career or any career."
