Financial Services special counsel Gary DeWaal was interviewed by Shanghai Media Group News on global challenges facing the cryptocurrency market. Gary stated, "I think the regulatory environment for crypto assets are not consistent worldwide and, therefore, it's very difficult for individuals who want to have a legitimate business, and deal with people legitimately, to know a correct path to access individuals globally. I think that one of the clear-cut goals of the regulations to the extent that the regulators believe that a crypto asset is a security is to improve disclosure; and to bring disclosure up to the standard that individuals are used to in the traditional securities space."
