Financial Services Litigation Symposium

Katten attorneys will participate in the firm's annual Financial Services Litigation Symposium on Tuesday, October 6 at 8:30 a.m. (ET) at the Harvard Club of New York City. The half-day symposium, which features a number of industry professional speakers, consists of five panels and sessions on a range of litigation issues affecting the financial services industry.

Janet Angstadt, head of Katten's Chicago Financial Services practice, and David Bohan, co-head of Katten's Financial Services Litigation practice, will participate on the market structure panel that addresses regulatory actions and private litigation relating to market fragmentation, dark pools, payment for order-flow and best execution obligations.

Christian Kemnitz, co-head of Katten's Financial Services Litigation practice and Gary DeWaal, Financial Services special counsel, will take part in the derivative markets panel that will cover market manipulation, disruptive trading and other emerging issues.

Michael Diver, head of Katten's Chicago Securities Litigation and Enforcement practice, Litigation and Dispute Resolution Partner Alan Brudner, and Financial Services Partner Richard Marshall will host a breakout session on Securities and Exchange Commission enforcement that will discuss insider trading, fixed-income pricing and other developments.

Anthony Paccione, co-head of Katten's New York Litigation and Dispute Resolution practice, and Financial Services Partner Peter Shea will participate in the emerging liquid and other alternate funds breakout session that will focus on potential litigation and other regulatory pitfalls.

Additionally, Litigation and Dispute Resolution Partners David Goldberg and Brian Poronsky will conduct a breakout session on hot topics related to Financial Industry Regulatory Authority and National Futures Association customer disputes.
