Environmental Criminal Enforcement Conference

Steven Solow, co-head of the Environmental and Workplace Safety practice, will serve as a panelist on two sessions during the Environmental Criminal Enforcement Conference presented by Michigan Law’s Environmental Law and Policy Program. The first session is the keynote address, "30 Years of Environmental Crimes Prosecution at the U.S. Department of Justice – A Panel Discussion with the Chiefs of the Environmental Crimes Section 1987–2017" at 4:45 p.m. on Thursday, March 30. This session will provide an overview of criminal enforcement under the environmental laws and discuss how the field has evolved over the last three decades. The second session, "To Criminalize or Not to Criminalize: Pipeline Accidents and Enforcement Choices" is at 1:45 p.m. on Friday, March 31.
