Doron Goldstein Comments on Investor Questions for Start-Ups

Firm News | September 26, 2016

Intellectual Property partner Doron Goldstein commented to AR/VR Magazine on what IP challenges augmented reality and virtual reality start-ups need to prepare for before going to market. In addition to protecting their own work product, consideration needs to be given to third-party rights, such as music or brand rights. Doron noted that how third-party rights are managed is a standard due diligence question of investors. "Investors will normally raise the issue as part of their due diligence review (whether during the start-up pitch or in follow-up diligence), as they are trying to get a handle on the operations, risk, and company sophistication."
