Danny Worrell Comments on Proposed EPA Budget Cuts

Firm News | February 14, 2018

Environmental and Workplace Safety partner Danny Worrell was quoted in Law360 on proposed cuts to the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) budget for fiscal year 2019. While Congress is expected to fund the EPA in excess of the White House's request, Danny noted that there is strong interest in making some cuts. "I believe that Congress will largely reject this blueprint as they did last year, but I think that there will be some reductions, given the tax bill and pressure to reduce spending. I suspect there will be reductions to EPA's budget, although probably not as severe as the administration's proposal." ("Trump Proposes 25 Percent Cut To EPA In 2019 Budget," February 12, 2018)
