Craig A. Barbarosh Quoted in The Washington Post on Retail Debt

Firm News | April 18, 2018

Insolvency and Restructuring partner Craig A. Barbarosh was quoted by The Washington Post and the Associated Press regarding the recent trend of leveraged buyouts in the retail sector that have suffered under excessive debt loads. Several private-equity-backed retailers have recently filed for bankruptcy protection or liquidated as a result of defaults due to excessive leverage. Craig stated, "It's a perfect storm that's led to one bankruptcy after another. These deals from that era were made under extremely aggressive—perhaps not even realistic—assumptions."
