Commodity Exchange Act Basics for Lawyers

Futures and Derivatives of counsel Guy Dempsey will co-present the "Commodity Exchange Act Basics for Lawyers" program to the New York City Bar on Wednesday, April 27 at 9:00 a.m. This program will cover the basics of the Commodity Exchange Act and the regulatory framework for futures, commodity options, swaps and retail foreign exchange. Additionally, this program will address which market participants are required to register with the Commodity Futures Trading Commission, the treatment of derivatives in bankruptcy, and the requirement that futures be exclusively exchange-traded.
