Managing partner of the Charlotte office Karen Nelson was selected by the Charlotte Business Journal to receive the 2021 Women in Business Achievement Award, recognizing her among the female leaders in the Charlotte region who are making an impact in their careers and communities.

Charlotte Business Journal's Women in Business Achievement Awards program is in its twenty-fifth year and highlights 25 women from every industry and profession who have made a difference in their workplace and are creating opportunities for other women. Her practice focuses on the origination and restructuring of debt secured by real estate assets, and she advises clients on a range of commercial real estate finance matters. Karen has represented some of the largest commercial and investment banks, funds, insurance companies and real estate investment trusts in the United States.
