Overview

Chuck Gibbs is a partner in the firm's Insolvency and Restructuring practice, counseling distressed companies, as well as secured lenders, servicers of commercial mortgage securitized trusts, bondholders and trade creditors, and acquirers of distressed assets.

With nearly 40 years of experience in handling challenging and complex financial restructurings across multiple industries—both in Chapter 11 cases and out-of-court restructurings—Chuck focuses his practice on public and private companies in the oil and gas exploration, midstream pipeline, oilfield services and real estate industries. His restructuring engagements often involve multijurisdictional and cross-border matters for debtors, secured creditors, official and ad hoc creditors' committees, equity committees and asset buyers. Chuck also has deep experience in representing non-money center secured lenders, particularly in the real estate space, handling hundreds of real estate loan workouts on behalf of lenders, both in and out of court.
