Chad Doobay, a Government and Public Finance partner at Katten, has been selected as part of the Emerging Leaders Class of 2018 by the Chicago Council on Global Affairs. Each year, the Council brings together a highly selective group of rising leaders from the private, public and nonprofit sectors to participate in its Emerging Leaders Program, a globally focused program that provides unique opportunities for its members to engage directly with world influencers and top thinkers, and to develop key professional skills. They also become part of a network of those who continue to raise the bar for Chicago as a leading global city. Chad was recognized for his practice of advising governmental entities and nonprofit organizations on financing projects that benefit the public good. He was also hailed for his active roster of pro bono clients, and devotion to advocating on behalf of refugees and immigrants, providing pro bono counsel to asylum seekers and others in need of immigration relief.
