Joshua Rubenstein, chair of the firm’s Trusts and Estates Practice, authored an article in the NYSBA Journal on bills in the New York State legislature affecting trusts and estates. Legislation in 2009 included a default simultaneous death rule, technical guardianship changes, anatomical gift clarification and sweeping changes to New York’s power of attorney law.
