Bryan Stroh, a former partner in Katten's Litigation Practice, is the new vice president and general counsel for the Pittsburgh Pirates, one of Major League Baseball’s oldest franchises. While at Katten, Mr. Stroh represented a number of professional sports teams, including the Chicago White Sox, Cleveland Indians and Oakland A's. Mr. Stroh commented on the move for a Chicago Daily Law Bulletin article ("Pittsburgh Pirates Recruit Katten Attorney," December 21, 2011), saying, "I feel fortunate to have worked with such great people at Katten, fortunate to have worked on very interesting cases and high-profile cases." Adam Klein, who chairs Katten's Sports Practice, says of Mr. Stroh, "He parlayed a love of a particular subject matter … into what I would say is a pretty coveted job for a lot of people, in-house counsel at a Major League Baseball team."
