Five Katten Partners Recognized by Chambers Global

Firm's Financial Services and Structured Finance Groups Acknowledged for Hedge Fund and Securitization Work

CHICAGO – Katten Muchin Rosenman LLP today announced that five of the firm’s attorneys – Henry Bregstein, Chris DiAngelo, Carolyn Jackson, Joshua Rubenstein and Herbert Wander – have been recognized in the 2013 edition of Chambers Global. Katten was also ranked as one of the top firms in the “Capital Markets: Securitisation” and “Investment Funds: Hedge Funds” categories.

Bregstein, national co-chair of Katten’s Financial Services practice and co-managing partner of the firm’s New York Office, is listed among top attorneys in the “Investment Funds: Hedge Funds” category. Bregstein is “admired for his strong grasp of issues surrounding domestic and offshore securities and commodities hedge funds,” as described by Chambers Global.

DiAngelo, chair of Katten New York’s Structured Finance and Securitization practice is described by his clients as a “significant market player.” They also say, “He has the ability to zero in on the legal and business issues, explain them and then find an appropriate solution.”

Jackson, a financial services partner at Katten Muchin Rosenman UK LLP was recognized in both the “Banking & Finance (Foreign Experts)” and the “Banking & Finance (Experts Based Abroad) categories. According to Chambers Global, Jackson is “noted for her US-related expertise, especially in regulatory matters concerning the banking and derivatives sphere.”

New York-based co-managing partner and national chair of Katten’s Trusts and Estates practice, Rubenstein is ranked among top attorneys in the “International Private Client” category. According to Chambers Global, Rubenstein’s clients say, “He’s a quality US tax, trusts and estates attorney who is extremely knowledgeable of international clients’ needs.”

Wander, partner in Katten’s Corporate practice, is named in the “Corporate M&A (Senior Statesman)” category and described by Chambers Global as being “viewed as an influential presence in the corporate community.” His clients say that he is “‘very highly regarded’ for his expertise in securities, corporate governance and M&A matters.” He recently advised DSW on a $2 billion stock-for-stock merger with Retail Ventures.
