Christopher T. Shannon

Christopher Shannon is the co-head of Katten's Chicago Financial Services practice. Chris represents private equity funds, hedge funds, proprietary trading firms and broker-dealers in connection with a broad range of financial services, transactional and corporate matters. He advises both public and private companies in complex business and financial regulatory transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, leveraged buyouts, private equity and venture capital investments, recapitalizations, private financings and complex transactions involving broker-dealers and proprietary trading firms. Chris also provides general corporate counseling on matters including executive compensation and equity incentive arrangements.

Prior to joining Katten, Chris was a partner in the corporate transactional group at Kirkland & Ellis LLP and practiced in the corporate group at Ropes & Gray LLP.
