Benzion J. Westreich

Los Angeles – Century City Office

Benny Westreich’s practice covers the full range of transactional real estate, representing institutional and individual clients in the United States and abroad in the acquisition, development, financing, construction, renovation, leasing, management and disposition of commercial and residential properties (including hotel, retail, office and multi-use projects).

Benny focuses a lot of his practice on structuring real estate funds and joint venture (including participation structures). He counsels clients on both sides of transactions, including lenders and borrowers, landlords and tenants, developers and finance partners and buyers and sellers. Clients say that Benny "… is what I consider a business lawyer should be; he understands that it is key to find a compromise and not just be right." (Chambers USA)

His clients include Capstone Advisors, CIM Group, E! Entertainment, Eagle Point Hotel Partners, Preferred Media, The Annenberg Foundation, W3 Partners and Westmount Properties. He also does a significant portion of the West Coast-oriented work for firm clients, including Fifield Realty and iStar Financial.

He authored articles on real estate law for several publications, including the New York Law Journal and the California Real Estate Reporter. He also lectures from time to time and moderated the “Deal Makers Panel” at the 2011 Crocker Symposium in Los Angeles.
