American Society for Healthcare Risk Management 2012 Annual Conference & Exhibition

Partner Michael Callahan will speak on "Patient Safety Organizations: Legal Update and Practical Solutions After Walgreens Case" at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 10, at the American Society for Healthcare Risk Management's 2012 conference. The presentation will discuss reasons to participate in a patient safety organization, long-term goals of the Patient Safety and Quality Improvement Act of 2005, design of a patient safety evaluation system and production of patient safety work product. Mr. Callahan will also review recent legal decisions regarding patient safety organizations, including Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation v. Walgreens.
