Pro Bono Services director, Jonathan Baum, spoke with the Pro Bono Institute's "Pro Bono Happy Hour Podcast." He talked about his experiences at the PBI Annual Conferences, how Katten started a pro bono clinic in a Chicago school, and how the firm selects pro bono matters. Jonathan stated, "One of the things our attorneys love about working in the Jose de Diego clinic is an immediacy to the results that you get that you seldom get in large firm practice." He also noted the need to constantly update strategies for placing pro bono matters, stating, "I increasingly go to partners and say, 'Will you take on this pro bono matter and then recruit the associates you want to work with?' It communicates to associates that this is a good thing to do." ("The Pro Bono Happy Hour—Jonathan Baum," February 4, 2016)
