Stacey McKee Knight, national co-chair of the Litigation and Dispute Resolution practice, was quoted in the Daily Journal regarding the implications of a Shippers Transport Express agreement to classify short-haul truck drivers as employees. The company also is expected to recognize a union for the workers when the drivers' signed cards in favor of the union are verified. Stacey, who does not represent Shippers Transport Express but represents other short-haul trucking companies, noted that the company fought a long battle but that "there's a tipping point in how much they're going to fight."
