Special counsel Gary DeWaal will moderate the panel discussion, "How & Why Different Participants Use Markets," at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, September 15 for US Congressional staff.
The panel will explore why and how different types of end users utilize derivatives markets. Panelists will discuss hedging, price discovery, and how some futures markets can facilitate the making and taking of delivery of physical products. They will also discuss what characteristics make derivatives markets the most suitable for business purposes.
