Ginger Rolfes is a capital markets attorney who focuses her practice on commercial real estate and structured finance with an emphasis on originating loans for the commercial mortgage-backed securities (CMBS) market. Ms. Rolfes also has experience with post-securitization loan servicing, syndicated lending, derivatives, construction lending, mezzanine lending, tenancy-in-common structures and Delaware Statutory Trust structures. Her more traditional real estate experience includes negotiating leases on behalf of landlords or tenants and serving as local North Carolina counsel for real estate matters.

Representative Experience
  • Represented a major national banking association in its capacity as originating lender for separate fixed rate CMBS loans for retail, office, hospitality, medical, multifamily and mixed-use properties.
  • Represented a major national banking association in its capacity as originating lender for numerous separate fixed and floating rate CMBS loans to private real estate investment trust for freestanding, single-tenant retail properties net leased to investment grade and other creditworthy tenants.
  • Represented a major national banking association in its capacity as originating lender for $113 million in senior CMBS loan financing for multiproperty nationwide portfolio wholly owned by publicly traded real estate investment trust.
  • Represented a major international bank in its capacity as administrative agent, syndication agent and lender originating a $415 million construction loan for a 14-story mixed-use building in Manhattan.

Education and Bar Admissions

Ms. Rolfes earned her Juris Doctor in 2003 from Wake Forest University School of Law, where she was a member of the National Moot Court Team, the Jessup International Moot Court Team and the Order of Barristers. She earned a Master of Arts in art history in 2001 from the University of South Carolina, and a Bachelor of Arts in art history, cum laude with department honors, from the University of the South in Sewanee, Tennessee in 1998. She is admitted to practice in North Carolina.
