Thomas J. McFadden represents health care providers nationally in a variety of transactional and general counsel matters. A substantial portion of his practice is devoted to mergers and acquisitions, affiliations, the development of integrated delivery systems, joint ventures, corporate reorganizations and the purchase and sale of stock, assets and partnership interests of hospitals, physician clinics, psychiatric hospitals and ambulatory surgical treatment centers. Mr. McFadden also has significant experience in the financing of medical office buildings and most recently has participated in the creation of a health care REIT.
Mr. McFadden graduated cum laude with a bachelors degree in history from the University of Notre Dame. He received his law degree from the University of Notre Dame and his LLM degree magna cum laude in health law from Loyola University of Chicago School of Law. Mr. McFadden is a frequent speaker at national and local seminars, colleges and universities. A contributor to Provider Magazine, he recently authored an article "Legal Considerations in Transactions Involving Not-For-Profit Institutions" published by W. B. Saunders Company in Infertility and Reproductive Clinics of America. Mr. McFadden is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association and the American Health Lawyers Association.
