Terry E. Newman concentrates his practice in real estate taxation, specifically ad valorem tax litigation. Prior to joining the firm in 1981, Mr. Newman was a Cook County Assistant State’s Attorney in the Criminal Division.
Mr. Newman is involved in numerous professional, charitable and civic activities. He is Chairman of the Illinois Housing Development Authority, Vice President of the Chicago Cultural Center Foundation, and a member of the Boards of Trustees of Loyola University of Chicago and the Museum of Science and Industry, the Board of Directors of After School Matters, and The Economic Club of Chicago.
Mr. Newman attended the University of Wisconsin, received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Loyola University of Chicago and earned his law degree at DePaul University College of Law. He is admitted to practice in Illinois and the District of Columbia, and before the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.
