Qualifications and Career Profile
Steven J. Katz concentrates his practice in litigation and health care with an emphasis on counseling hospitals and other health care providers regarding State and Federal health care laws, including fraud and abuse, self-referral, licensure, affiliations, compensation and contracting issues.
Mr. Katz is a member of the New York Bar and is admitted to practice before the United States Court of Appeals, 2nd Circuit and the District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.

Mr. Katz is a member of the American and New York State Bar Associations, the Bar Association of the City of New York and the American Health Lawyers Association.
Lectures and Articles
Mr. Katz is the author of an article entitled "Medical Call Centers Performing Telephone Triage: Is the Doctor In? Liability Issues and the Need for Regulation," 8 J.L. & POL’Y 593 (2000).
Education
Mr. Katz received his undergraduate degree (B.B.A., 1983) from the University of Miami, and his law degree cum laude (J.D., 2001) from Brooklyn Law School, where he was Executive Articles Editor of the Journal of Law and Policy and a member of the Moot Court Honor Society.
