Katten Muchin Zavis Rosenman Named One Of Top Corporate Firms In Chicago By Corporate Board Member

CHICAGO – Katten Muchin Zavis Rosenman is pleased to announce it has been named one of the top five corporate law firms in Chicago by Corporate Board Member magazine in its new July/August issue.
The magazine released the results of its fourth annual Legal Industry Research Study identifying the top five corporate law firms in 50 major metropolitan areas, according to CEOs and directors serving on boards of publicly traded companies listed with the NASDAQ Stock Market, New York Stock Exchange, or American Stock Exchange. Katten Muchin Zavis Rosenman broke into the listing for the first time, coming in at number five, according to this year’s survey of directors working in Chicago.
"This ranking is significant because it is developed through surveys of the CEOs and directors of the major public companies in Chicago. Corporate Board Member surveyed directors serving on boards of publicly traded companies listed with the NASDAQ, New York, or American Stock Exchanges. The directors were divided into 50 groups based on the location of their companies within the top 50 metropolitan statistical areas (MSAs) according to the 2000 U.S. Census. Each of the 50 groups received a questionnaire specific to their location that included a list of 20 local firms and two write-in options. Respondents were asked to select the five local law firms, from the list provided or as a write-in, they would most likely select to aid their companies on a broad range of corporate legal issues. The top five law firms in each MSA are listed in the magazine based on the number of votes received.
